Where are we going with this LostMaples blog?

I’m going to share observations, thinking.  I’ll tie together related themes.  I’ll cite references in some cases but otherwise take my words as considered opinion.

I’ll touch on several themes and I’m sure more will emerge …with your help, please!

• Critical thinking and how we come to think the way we do
• Climate disruption – why humans have been unable to avoid disaster
• Coping with Climate disruption – changing the economic model
• Living better:  living in Community, living closer to the land

These of course are broad themes to explore and we will move back and forth among them.

I don’t have the definitive answers but I do have opinions and I am able to be influenced by powerful ideas that are different from my own.   I encourage engagement in the thinking, commenting or otherwise getting involved.   Perhaps in this way we can arrive at the definitive answers?

I’ll set out to write something rather short each week, giving some space to the above themes and devoting attention to ideas and questions that arise as we go.
